SLCG is made up of twelve lawyers with varied educational and legal backgrounds based in the offices in Florence, Prato and Milan. In addition to Italian lawyers, the firm is composed of lawyers qualified to practice in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain and France, and we also have an extensive International Network of professionals.
SLCG specializes in providing comprehensive legal services for companies. Our main practice areas are Arbitration and ADR, Litigation, Commercial Transactions, Environmental, Sports Law and Employment Law.
In addition to the traditional work which external law firms usually provide, SLCG provides legal assistance for individual matters in line with the services provided by an internal company legal team, including:
- case assessment at the outset of disputes, formulated on the basis of three possible scenarios- best, most likely and worst- providing an upfront summary of the risks and benefits of the dispute and also allowing for the establishment of financial statement reserves;
- case management including an estimate of legal costs and cost control, consideration of possible alternatives to litigation, continual updating of expectations and coordination with the external accountants, experts, technical staff and employees involved in any particular matter;
- identification of the expertise required with regard to the applicable law and the competent forum, and various contacts worldwide to assist with matters outside of our capacity;
- training courses for employees on recurrent legal issues; and
- development of best practices and handbooks for internal company use.

COSTS
The flexibility of the structure of SLCG enables us to contain costs to take into consideration the services requested by the client, making us highly competitive on an international scale. SLCG is able to offer services on the basis of an hourly rate, on a retainer basis, on the basis of a success fee or on the basis of a combination of one of the above alternatives. Matters are usually invoiced on a monthly basis, together with details of the activities carried out based on daily timesheets. |
